Parker Bestobell’s cryogenic ball valves are ideal where excellent full flow characteristics are required with no delay in filling time. They are widely used in gas production, transportation and storage, offering long term performance.

Cryogenic Ball Valves

Parker Bestobell’s cryogenic ball valves are specially designed for use in liquefied gas production, transportation and storage. These valves are ideal where the customer requires excellent full flow characteristics and long term performance. The innovative design of the valve allows for full flow of media from filling stations and portable delivery systems with low pressure loss, resulting in no delay in filling time.

These ball valves feature an innovative free floating ball design that allows the force of upstream pressure to push the ball hard against the downstream seats. The higher the pressure, the more seating force and torque is required to operate the valve.

Available in Bronze and Stainless Steel, the ball valves feature a spring-loaded gland seal, which provides low torque level under both ambient and cryogenic conditions.

Cryogenic Ball Valves

The Parker Bestobell’s flow diverters allow for quick and effective changeover between relief valves. They ensure that the flow capacity of the valve is not reduced below that available from one fully open port.

Cryogenic Flow Diverter Valves

Parker Bestobell offers flow diverters in two formats: ball or globe valve.

These flow diverters enable quick and safe changeover between relief valves. They ensure that the flow capacity of the valve is not reduced below that available from one fully open port, even during movement of the operating lever from one position to another. The integrity of the vessel is not threatened, even if the operator inadvertently leaves the operating lever mid-position.
As the valve is normally at the hub of a fairly complex piping system, there are many variations available on the basic design available to meet customers’ specific requirements.
These flow diverters are designed for use with Group 1 gases and manufactured in accordance with ASTM B31.1, BS EN 1626 and BS ISO 21011. They should be used in conjunction with Parker’s thermal relief valve.
