Enclosures for electronic components sometimes have more holes than are actually ultimately needed. In order to provide reliable explosion protection, it is vital that these unused holes are properly sealed. R. STAHL’s  are perfect for the job. They are available for Ex e and Ex d enclosures, with metric or NPT threads in a variety of thread sizes (M16-M100 and 3/8-4″ NPT), and in plastic, nickel-plated brass or stainless steel. With such a wide variety to choose from, we have the right stopping plug for any application.

STOPPING PLUGS MADE OF MOULDED MATERIAL SERIES 8290/3

R. STAHL’s 8290 series plastic stopping plugs can be used to seal unused holes in Ex e enclosures (<0x201C>increased safety<0x201D> type of protection). To ensure that they remain robust during use, they are designed to be impact resistant in accordance with IEC/EN 60079-0 and IEC/EN 60079-7 and are protected against working loose.
